Where Learning Is an Adventure

Situated on a five-acre campus, Adventure Academy of Melissa is a nature-based private school serving students from Pre-K through 5th grade. We blend strong academics with meaningful outdoor learning, creating an environment where children are encouraged to explore, question, discover, and grow. Inspired by Montessori and Waldorf traditions, our program centers on inquiry, creativity, play, independence, and nature-based discovery.

Students engage daily with the natural world—caring for campus animals, tending gardens, observing seasonal changes, and learning through hands-on experiences. Our outdoor environment extends the classroom, providing opportunities to develop curiosity, responsibility, collaboration, and a deeper understanding of the world around them.

Through small class sizes and individualized instruction, we nurture the whole child and foster confident learners, independent thinkers, active problem-solvers, and compassionate environmental stewards with a lasting connection to nature.
