Naši mali škratki is the first private international forest kindergarten in Slovenia and the first private forest kindergarten in the Stajerska region. We operate under the umbrella of the Network of Forest Kindergartens and Schools of Slovenia and are proud members of the German Federal Association for Nature and Forest Kindergartens (BvNW).
Our kindergarten welcomes children aged 1 to 6, offering daily experiences in the forest, where nature itself becomes the classroom. Activities are based on forest pedagogy and include exploration, creativity, movement, and cooperation in a natural environment. We emphasize small groups, warm relationships, and an individualized approach.
We have also developed our own forest pedagogy curriculum, which is currently undergoing approval by the Council of the Republic of Slovenia for General Education, aiming to strengthen and formally recognize forest pedagogy within the national education system.
Our vision is to build bridges beyond borders – we strive for cooperation and exchange with international kindergartens and institutions. We believe in the power of sharing knowledge and best practices, enriching and complementing each other for the benefit of children.
