Who We Are
The Black Educator Network is a professional community dedicated to amplifying and supporting Black voices in nature-based early childhood education. This network addresses the current representation gap by providing mentorship, resources, and professional development opportunities specifically tailored to Black educators' experiences and perspectives. Through fostering connections and sharing cultural knowledge, the network enriches nature-based education by integrating African and African-American traditions and environmental perspectives, ultimately creating more inclusive and culturally relevant outdoor learning experiences for all children.
